Saoussas Mill
Just after the revolution, in order to meet the needs of the inhabitants of the upper Valley, a water mill was constructed close to the village of Loudenvielle. It worked until 1937 when the water inlet was destroyed by a flood of the river Neste.
In order to revive this activity, it was reconstructed in the original position.
The millstones, which were well preserved, were reintroduced into service in a magnificent building constructed from local stone and wood according to tradition. The latest reconstruction was a water driven sawmill which can be seen operating.
A rest area is available. Children can meet farm animals which freely roam and trout fishing is also available.
