For the more adventurous who wish to get off the beaten track, in total security, the mountain guides offer numerous walks and rambles to suit all tastes, all levels of competence, taking from a half day up to several days, including overnight stays involving a fondue party in a cabin. The details of these projects are included in the weekly bulletin of activities.
As a first step we would remind you of the 10 commandments of the walker (source FFRP):
-
Respect the footpaths - do not take shortcuts to prevent erosion.
-
Think of others, of the serenity of nature - we are not the only ones on the routes.
-
Learn about the animals and the flowers, especially in the quiet places, and help to preserve them.
-
Do not leave signs of your visit or rubbish behind - carry it with you to the next dustbin.
-
Do not light fires – especially in wooded and bushy areas.
-
Do not degrade the land, the plantations and do not disturb the domestic or farm animals or herds – never forget to close gates after use.
-
Keep dogs on a lead – it would be very unpleasant if they were to provoke problems or be the victim of an accident.
-
Do not drink stream water – its apparent clarity does not mean it is drinkable.
-
Keep close to the communes in the hunting season – certain routes can be dangerous.
-
10.Be informed of the rules of access – to the nature reserves, national parks and reserved sites (dogs, the use of loud motors or the picking of flowers can be prohibited in some cases).
